Butternut Squash are nutritious, packing a good amount of vitamin c, vitamin a, and potassium  into each serving.

We  will be transforming 175 lbs of Butternut Squash into 500 servings of  soup for local food bank clients and we need some support with all the  associated chopping, cooking, and cleaning tasks.

This  is a project of the Carver Food Enterprise Center in collaboration with  NoVa Food Rescue.  Thanks to the PATH Foundation for providing funding  for this event!

This event is open to anyone age 16 and up with basic knife skills.

There  is no cost to participate, but we ask that you secure a free ticket  here so we can plan for equipment and teams for various tasks.   Donations are always welcome as we are raising funds to build phase 2  and 3 of the kitchen which will allow us to host more events like this  in the future.  All donations are tax-deductible.
